Whole Hog Win HJ’12

Well, another successful festival with HJ’12 audiences seeing some very powerful and compelling performances on the Arts Centre stage! We’ll update the website proper very soon but, in the meantime, here’s the skinny on who won what!

The BBC Wiltshire Audience Award:

Old Town Theatre Company for ‘Convenience’ by Scott V A Hunter

 

The June Thompson Memorial Cup for Dramatic Endeavour:

Winner: Swindon Act for ‘Collection Day’, a collaborative piece by its cast.

Nominations: WADAMS for ‘A Dog’s Life’. PVADS for ‘All Around My Pole’.

 

The Matthew Herring Award for Originality or Achievement in Technical Theatre:

Winner: Pewsey Vale Amateur Dramatic Youth Section for ‘A Modern Twist’’ by Nettie Powell

Nominations: Swindon Act for ‘Collection Day’. Whole Hog Productions for ‘The Final Act of Henry Gladstone’, adapted by Matthew Clift.

 

The Swindon Advertiser Award for an Original Production:

Winner: Old Town Theatre Company for ‘Convenience’ by Scott V A Hunter

Nominations: Dead Meat Productions for ‘Prevenge’ by Owen Fishwick. Phoenix Theatre @ New College for ‘Capti Gaeth’ by its cast.
