Meet our 2017 Adjudicator

Nick Wilkes, Guild of Drama Adjudicators

We’re very happy to announce our adjudicator for 2017 will be GoDA’s Nick Wilkes.

Nick trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has worked extensively in the theatre over the past two decades.

He has appeared in over seventy productions both in the UK and overseas in classical and contemporary drama, musical, pantomime and weekly rep, working alongside names as diverse as Charlton Heston and Simon Callow through to Keith Harris and Orville the Duck!

Nick is Writer in Residence at Malvern Theatres and has written and produced twenty new plays to date. All of these have been produced through Nick’s own theatre company Malvernbard and have played in many venues around the country. In Autumn 2017 Malvernbard have been invited to Stratford Upon Avon to produce one of Nick’s plays at the Royal Shakespeare Company as part of the Autumn Season at The Other Place.

As well as being an actor and writer Nick is a freelance Director and teacher of drama. He is also proud to be a fundraise for several charities, amongst them the NSPCC, Children’s Hospice South West, Food Cycle, Help for Heroes and the Clean Up Britain campaign.

Nick is also an Associate Member of the Guild of Drama Adjudicators (GODA), and Principal of the Swan Theatre School in Worcester.

We’re very happy to be welcoming Nick to our Special 70th Anniversary Festival!
