Return of our reigning champions, Quirky Bird Theatre
Quirky Bird to return with ‘That Face’ by Polly Stenham
Here at hjHQ we are thrilled to be welcoming back our reigning champions Quirky Bird Theatre with another powerful play by Polly Stenham – ‘That Face’. Director Anna Friend has taken time out of her incredibly busy schedule to bring us up to speed with all things Quirky!
‘So, at Quirky Bird Headquarters we are excited to be returning to the hj1act in this prodigious year as reigning champions and hoping that this doesn’t bring too much pressure with it! The play has already met with great reviews and had some interesting responses so I’m looking forward to see how the HJ audiences find the themes within this dark and challenging play.
Quirky Bird in rehearsal for ‘That Face’ by Polly Stenham
For three of our principal cast this will be their first time at the One Act Festival, but for others such as Rosie Walker she will be returning with two trophies in hand as the winner of the Best Youth Performer for last year’s ‘Tusk Tusk’. The greatest difference for us this year is that we will no longer be entering as a Youth Production as three members of our five strong cast are adult performers….so we shall see how we fair against the big boys and girls…..
Very much looking forward to seeing the other performances and being part of this vibrant event.’
